This page explains how to delete your account for Hamdosh, the family medical-records app for iPhone and Android and the website at hamdosh.com, made by MavenHandle. You don’t need to install the app to ask us to delete your account.
If you only want to remove some records, you don’t have to delete your account: you can delete a single document, an encounter, or all of your records from inside the app or the website.
Option 1: In the app
- Open Hamdosh and sign in.
- Tap Me → Account & data → Delete account.
- Confirm your email address and enter your password.
Option 2: On the website
- Sign in at hamdosh.com/login.
- Go to Settings → Account & data.
- Under Delete account, confirm and enter your password.
Option 3: By email, if you can’t sign in
Email privacy@hamdosh.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We’ll confirm that you own the account before deleting anything, then complete the deletion within 30 days. Please don’t include any health information in your email.
When it happens
- Standard: your account is disabled and every device is signed out straight away. Deletion then completes 30 days after your request. If you change your mind, sign in during those 30 days to cancel.
- Delete now: if you choose Delete now in the app, there’s no 30-day window. Your account is disabled and signed out everywhere immediately, and deletion completes within 24 hours.
- We email the address on your account when the deletion is complete.
What is deleted
- Your account: email address, password, two-step verification settings, and sessions.
- Every family-member profile you created.
- All your medical records and encounters, and the details read from your documents.
- Every uploaded document and photo, erased from our storage.
- Your Ask questions and answers, and any AI answers you reported.
- Your devices and notification registrations, and your privacy choices (such as AI-processing permission).
- The link between your account and any App Store or Google Play purchase.
What is kept, and for how long
- De-identified summaries of records you had already deleted before closing your account. These have no name, account, or identifier of any kind and can’t be linked back to you (see our Privacy Policy).
- Database backups for up to 14 days. Deleted data drops out of backups as they rotate. Health information inside backups stays encrypted.
- Minimal purchase records (transaction id, product, date, amount) where tax or accounting law requires us to keep them. These contain no health information and are no longer linked to your account.
- Security audit logs (for example, sign-in and deletion events) for at least 7 years. They contain no readable health information.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it first:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Android: Google Play Store → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
If you pay for Hamdosh on hamdosh.com, cancel under Settings → Plan & billing before deleting, or ask us and we’ll cancel it for you.
